Monday School Olyympics

  Monday in Waikowhai Primary School the seniors did the Olympics and the team I was in  was Uzbekistan we did not get to pick the country to represent we get the country Uzbekistan in random of small pieces of paper. The other teams did the same. Now we got to pick the country last Friday and we have to make the flag and making it was not that easy because we had to draw the stars and the moon. We did the out lining first before colouring and our team Uzbekistan kind of messed up the stars of the country but we manage to get it fixed anyways. Also we have to write some facts at the back and the other groups have to do the same.

    It was Monday when we did the Olympics in school. We did lots of cool activities like gumboot throw and other more cool stuff and also we have a clip board where it shows how many points. I was having so much fun I'm sure the others was having fun too. At the end of the games  they showed the group that goes 4th,third,second and first. Our team was not any of those but we had fun.

    Wow! that day was fun. That was  School Olympics. Here is the flag the country we represent.

Olympics DLO Sport study

Today i'm going to tell you about my Sport Study DLO. Now the sport study DLO  is where you have to pick a sport and write about it like what has happen on the Olympics. It was hard to search up facts about basketball because sometimes it wont show up and also doing it was fun to because I get to learn more facts about basketball like the inventor of basketball is Naismith.

It was easy for me to put in some facts because I already knew some facts and players that play basketball. I also made my DLO not boring by adding basketball images and making the background a basketball court and I also put in Te reo words.

Making the DLO was fun and worth it here is the image.

The Matific Maths game.

Today I'm going to be telling you about the Matific maths game. The Matific maths game is where you can answer maths question and play with other people but it has to be related to maths like times table and division. Its a really fun game to play if you like maths and also you can play with your own class but its only up to four people but don't worry you will still be able to play it.

When I started playing the game it already started to look cool and there is also a level game where you have to move up levels and that is what I did first. As I was playing the game I started moving up levels but it gets harder every time and once I was stuck at this one level but I manage to move up one more and then it was harder and I was only up to level four and oh yea I was doing a puzzle.

What Happened This Week!

This week we started  learning about the Olympics and now let me tell you what I did. In Inquiry The whole class started making a copy of a slide show where you have to guess the logo of the sport by just looking at it, its not any kind of sport its every Olympics sport. Now when I did the slide show it was not that hard for me to do it because most of it is really easy to guess but when I got to the other slides it was getting harder but I manage to guess it any way but I still don't know if I got it right or wrong. After writing and guessing sports I finally finished so I showed the teacher and I'm good to go do something else.

Now the second activity that I did was trying to find out why some Olympics where distributed . some of it it was easy to guess because I already know what year was world war 1 and 2. And that's all for the second activity.

I had fun doing these two activities and I learned a lot about why the Olympics where disrupted. It's actually my two favourite activity I like to do about the Olympics. click on logo to get inside slide show.

                  

Times Table And Measurement at Te Waka Ako.

Today I am gonna tell you what I did in maths as you can see its times table and measurement. Now when I did times table it was easy but when I do measurement it is quite hard but I tried my best anyways. So when I was doing measurement I used something that is called um I forgot but you measure it by using your body.  We measured half of the netball court and we were working on groups to make it easier and we were one of the groups to finish. Somewhere of the day when we did maths we were to measure something that is a meter or higher and we started at 1cm we use finger nail to measure a bark and legs to measure the with of the playground.

Now on the times table we use prototec and it has division times table and more. Now when I did prototec I put a timer and it was going pretty fast. If you don't know what prototec it is a website where you can answer basic facts questions that are hard and easy. Now it shows you if you're correct or not after you finish and it if you click on the certificate button it shows you how many percent of how much you go right or wrong. Here is a picture of it.

What happen on Tool Kits!

 Hello today I'm gonna be writing what I did in Tool Kits . 

Before the day I already knew that I have to go Tool Kits. The next day we went to Owairaka School and that's where the Tool Kits were. Before we get into the activities someone explained to us where to go and what were gonna do. On the first one me and my buddy was in the same class and what we did was Minecraft Coding. It wasn't that difficult because I have done it before but some part of it was hard like planting plants. I had to put lots of coding and my finger even hurts after doing it. So I had to use a different finger and I did a lot other modes in Minecraft Coding now moving on.

Now this next activity was in the same room but different it is Incredibox. It was fun but there were lots of people playing it so I couldn't hear it that much. I played it anyways I enjoyed it cause there were people making beats and singing. You should try it type Incredibox and it will show up with these different bands just press in any of them and its for free.

Incredibox was amazing but now we move on to a different one and it is drum roll please Piskel! it was my favourite cause you can create characters. First they explained to us how to play it but I already knew but I listened to the instruction anyways. I created a ninja or a farmer it was so cool cause you could colour it to I was having a great time. After the Piskel we went into where all the schools met and we were lucky to have front seats. Sorry I forgot to tell you that in the start and also we had morning tea and lunch time. Then finally there were these fusion guys and they were siblings and they told us how they got there work.

You see these three things at the top that was what we did in Spark Arena. We were very lucky to go there for free but it was only the Year Sixes that went. When I came to school my friend said where going to Spark arena and I was surprised, I did not even know that it was happening today. When it was 9 o'clock the teachers gathered us and said "bring some food". All the year sixes went to the bus and got ready.

When we got there we lined up in two lines then we went inside I was surprised that it was a bar! Us year sixes sat on the ground and they talked us through and they also introduce their self. The first thing was went to was Happy Place. There were lots of cool stuff to take a picture in and there was this mirror section and I thought I would get lost but I didn't. Now the cool part is we got to take a picture jumping in a pit of ball so 1 2 3 we jump one at a time so when I jump on it I't felt very uncomfortable because I couldn't move I use all my power to touch the ground and get out. Tt was very hard. It's like the ball pulling you in the pit but I manage to get out. The teacher took some more pictures and pictures now moving on to our next activity.

Sounds Fun is where you can play different kinds of instruments but not all is there. There was a trombone and I got to play it. I was very bad though at least I got to try. After playing that I listened to some good sound track it was really cool cause you can change it to different sounds. I got kind of bored and I said I will come back to it later so I went to have a look around and I saw electric drums so I went and wait on the line and it was finally my turn. There was a iPad that was like telling you what note to play and I did a pretty good job but on the 2 one not really that good and the third one good I was happy playing it. You know what the last one is.

Van Gogh I know it does not sound cool but it is we got to look at some paintings and I think they were quite popular it was quiet in there we were playing with the graphics on the ground and there was also some videos. Also some of the paintings are from different country's.
